The Acadian Tea Room - La Cuisine de Brigitte West Chezzetcook

By our roving photographer Lynda Mallett (Who can never resist a good cup of coffee).

The Tea Room – La Cuisine de Brigitte - is now open!

A delight for local people and visitors too – they can enjoy delicious food from Sunday to Friday from
8.30am to 4.30pm.

NEWS! On July 1st La Cuisine de Brigitte opens 7 days a week!

This unique cafe is located in West Chezzetcook a traditional Acadian village on Marine Drive Highway 207 Nova Scotia.

La Cuisine de Brigitte
is situated on the site of the Acadian Museum. The museum is a restored old Acadian homestead c1850.

Donna Goldsworthy
the proprietress and main cook has created a very tasty menu – which  includes traditional Acadian food.

Every day Donna starts with baking fresh tea biscuits ands scones – the smell is heavenly.
On the menu are traditional standards like fishcakes and beans – this is served daily.
Donna also provides a 'quiche of the day' and a 'home made soup of the day'.
There is always a special of the day – this could be Lasagne or Shepherds Pie or something equally
tasty - all homemade and delicious.

Donna also provides a selection of sandwiches and wraps and salads. (always the best carved meats nothing processed here!). There is a Kids Menu and Afternoon Tea is also served.

Did someone say How About Deserts??
Well how about the best Coconut Cream Pie you have ever tasted? This is never off the menu it is so in demand! And of course the traditional Ginger Patch Bread served with whipped cream and drizzled
with lemon sauce.

La Cuisine de Brigitte
has a stunning décor – is comfortable and spacious, yet cosy.
Each window has a view of the old homestead site.

The Acadian Museum
site and Tea Room nestles in a gentle valley in West Chezzetcook.

Surrounded by old homes of local residents it has a timeless quality, a very special peace pervades this place.

You
can sip your coffee on the outside deck and drink in the 'olden times' overlooking the old clam shed and vegetable garden.

Warm smells of delicious cooking seep out and beckon you into the Tea Room for your home-cooked
meal.

Donna
and her staff will make you very welcome.
